Evgenia Verovskaya graduated cum laude

Evgenia Verovskaya, a PhD student in the lab of Gerald de Haan, is the third PhD student accomplishing her graduate thesis at ERIBA. She defended her dissertation “Clonal analysis of young and aged hematopoietic stem cells using cellular barcoding” on Wednesday, July 2, at the University of Groningen with the distinction “cum laude”.  Evgenia was enrolled in the Topmaster Program “Medical and Pharmaceutical Innovation” at University of Groningen and moved to ERIBA with the laboratory of Prof. Gerald de Haan in 2014.

In November Evgenia Verovskaya will continue her research project  “Functional characterisation of aging-related changes in the hematopoietic stem cell niche” as a Postdoctoral Fellow at laboratory of Dr. Emmanuelle Passegué at the University of California in San Francisco (USCF). For this purpose she was awarded a prestigious Rubicon grant by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research  (NWO) in June 2014.
